The University of Connecticut School of Business will launch an online MBA program this fall, and is accepting applications beginning next month.

UConn’s Board of Trustees on Wednesday endorsed the program, which is slated to start in late August with an initial class of 40 students, according to UConn.

“Our full-time, part-time, and executive MBA programs have always been enormously popular, but we recognize that some of our prospective students are eager for a more flexible educational option,” said John Elliott, dean of UConn’s School of Business.

UConn’s online MBA is a three-year program, according to the university. Students will be able to choose from concentrations including business analytics, management, digital marketing and finance.

Prospective students applying for the program don't need to provide scores from the GMAT or GRE standardized tests, but must show at least two years of substantive work experience, UConn said.
