The new owner of a 3.3 acre-parcel in Branford aims to build a car wash on the site.
The property, at 54 and 60 North Main St., sold recently for $450,000.
The buyer is 54 & 60 North Main Street LLC, whose principal is listed as Nicholas Magnotta of Trumbull, according to the Secretary of the State’s office. The company was incorporated in September 2020.
Magnotta is also the principal of Hamden Wash & Wax on Skiff Street, and he has been in the car wash business for about two decades.
Kevin Geenty and Kristin Geenty of The Geenty Group, Realtors were the sole brokers in the deal.
Attorney Carl Porto of Hamden represented the buyer, while attorney Michael Iacurci of Madison represented the sellers, John and Rachel Brasile.
An application is currently pending before the Branford Planning & Zoning Commission for a special exception to allow for the car wash. Plans are for a drive through-style car wash, with a kiosk for payments and vacuums on site for customers to use.
A public hearing on the plan started in September and was continued to Oct. 21.
